VeganMoFo: Brownies

For a while in college, I was on a brownie kick. Always out of a box (there are some randomly vegan kinds), usually without any egg replacer at all- just water and oil. I knew they were kind of dense, but I loved them, and I loved the batter even more. One day, I forget the details or who broke the news first, but I found out that my friends, boyfriend, and roommates all hated my brownies, and no one ever wanted to tell me. I don’t share my brownies anymore.

Last night I made brownies from scratch for the first time ever. I used this recipe but I don’t recommend it- they’re too crumbly to even get out of the pan. Of course, this doesn’t stop me from eating them; I just use a spoon.

I wish I could conclude this with a brownie success story, but that has yet to happen. If anyone has brownie recipes to recommend (preferably not the kind involving tofu and a blender), please share.
