Check out this article in today’s Philadelphia Daily News about Darius Lopes, a young guy who I know from rowing at PRPD. He wrote an essay about his involvement in adaptive sports and won a trip to Beijing for the Paralympics. That’s pretty awesome, especially for a 16 year old.

Darius and I have similar ambitions: “‘I’m going to be an Olympian at the 2012 Paralympics in London,’ Darius said, not flashing his trademark smile.” Who knows- maybe I’ll be there with him.
