I never buy produce at Whole Foods (overpriced), but yesterday, the apple juxtaposition was too much and I broke down and bought some.  Behold, a teeny Lady apple, a regular-sized Fuji, and a giant Fuji:

I just watched Waitress and it inspired me to make pies.  Keri Russell’s character makes several pies throughout the movie, and it’s an interesting device used to convey her feelings.  I found them all helpfully listed in this somewhat random blog post.  She gets creative with the pies and their names (like Pregnant Miserable Self-Pitying Loser Pie), but I want to start easy.  Maybe I’ll make mini-pies from my mini apples.  Stay tuned!
