Here’s a survey from Get Sconed. It was called the Halfway Through MoFo Survey, but I’m just getting to it now. So let’s call it my 3/4 Through MoFo Survey.
1. What was the most recent tea you drank?
I couldn’t tell you.
2. What vegan forms do you post/lurk on? If so, what is your username? Spill!
Just Post Punk Kitchen. I’m Dynahmite there.
3. You have to have tofu for dinner, and it has be an Italian dish. What comes to mind first?
Stuffed shells with tofu ricotta
4. How many vegan blogs do you read on an average day?
Usually, one or two. But since MoFo’s been going on, I read a bunch.
5. Besides your own, what is the most recent one you’ve read?
Tofu for Two, where I got my fabulous hot chocolate recipe.
6. If you could hang out with a vegan blogger that you haven’t met, who would it be, and what would you do?
I’d love to hang out with Dynise (of Urban Vegan) and have her show me great places I’m missing in our city.
7. If you had to base your dinners for a week around one of the holy trilogy – tofu, seitan or tempeh, which would it be?
Tofu, only because it’s the most versatile of the bunch (in my hands, at least)
8. If you had to use one in a fight, which would it be?
Any of them, frozen, could cause quite a bit of damage. I’ll go with tofu- the sharp frozen corners could be deadly.
9. Name 3 meals you’d realistically make with that tough protein of choice!
Baked tofu with kale and quinoa
Spinach lasagna with tofu ricotta
Tofu and veggies stirfried over rice
10. What’s a recipe in vegan blogland that you’ve been eyeing?
Rachel’s Pumpkin Pie Smoothie! I’m excited to try this.
11. Do you own any clothing with vegan messages/brands on them?
I have lots of animal rights message shirts I got in college and don’t wear much anymore. I do have a few cute vegan shirts I wear on occasion.
12. Have you made your pilgrimage to the ‘vegan mecca’ yet? (Portland, duh)
Never been. Of course I’d love to though.
13. What age did you first go vegan? Did it stick?
On my 18th birthday- yes, it stuck.
14. What is the worst vegan meal you’ve had? Who cooked it?
The other day I had a pretty terrible salad at a restaurant in New Jersey (not my choice; I just went with people after a dance class). I wasn’t expecting much, but the sea of iceberg lettuce topped with maybe half a tomato and a few rings of white onion was just gross.
15. What made you decide to blog?
Lee! He inspired me.
16. What are three of your favorite meals to make?
Macaroni and cheese
Tomato-Basil Cream Pasta
Mashed potatoes and Punk Rock Chickpea Gravy (I can eat enough of this in one sitting to consider it a meal)
17. What dish would you bring to a vegan Thanksgiving-themed potluck?
Pumpkin-baked ziti with sage breadcrumbs and caramelized onions (Veganomicon)- I’m a huge fan
18. Where is your favorite vegan meal at a restaurant? How many times have you ordered it?
Grilled seitan from Horizons. It comes with mashed potatoes, spinach, and amazingness. Finished off with creme brulee, this is hands down my favorite restaurant meal. I’ve probably had it 4 or 5 times. The most recent is pictured- my 25th birthday.
19. What do you think the best chain to dine as a vegan is?
Taco Bell. Though I’m not sure one can ‘dine’ there.
20. My kitchen needs a………
Pastry cutter. Better cookie sheet. Grater. Peeler. I could go on for pages.
21. This vegetable is not allowed in my kitchen…..!
Eggplant. I’d allow it if it paid me, or did a little dance or something, anything to try to impress me other than being its gross little self.
22. What’s for dinner tonight?
Dinner was the Almost All-American Seitan Pot Pie from Veganomicon.
23. Add a question here!
I’m still looking for a fudgy brownie recipe! Suggestions?

Fun survey. That’s interesting that you don’t like eggplant. I guess it can be kind of an acquired taste, although I will say that recently it’s my favorite vegetable.
